there was a small boy with down syndrome there and pete got off his really high stool and bent over and goes “hey kiddo what’s your name!” and he wasn’t allowed to write personalized messages or anything in the books but he did for this boy and the boy was so happy and pete was like “thank you so much for coming out i’m so happy you came i hope you had fun” and in that second i wanted to rip out my heart and throw it across the room
